we spend endless amounts of time in caring for all our animals feeding, cleaning and caring for them, they all have there own time of being handled on a regular basis and the hedgehogs come out most evenings for a roam of the lounge and have lots of attention.
our breeding projects are slowly increasing and we have a variety on the go at the moment, we give extra care to expecting mothers with extra supplements and calcuim if needed, we never breed any of our animals unless they are at full health and the correct age and weight, we also put some of our exoctics into a quiet room where they have peace and quiet, we always make sure that the newly hatched/born are feeding/drinking and shedding fine before they go to their new homes of which i may ask questions (so please don't be offended if asked) i always make sure they go to the right homes where they will be cared for in the way in which they should and will never be neglected, i do ask that people keep in touch and ask how the animals are getting on as its always nice to hear how they are getting on and see how much they have grown etc.
we also give out advice for whoever needs it to the best we possibly can and some of the animals that leave us will come with care packs, we will also probe any snake for you so you are sure of the sex that means even snakes you have purchased from else where!
i hope you enjoy our website and feel free to add any feedback or ideas for the web page.
I am still working on the website and sometimes things are added daily so bare with me!
Ema & Tristan
A little about us
Exotics has always been a passion for the both of us and have many years experience with many types of exotics between us, we have both grown up around variety of reptiles and both kept them as children right through to our adult hood, my very first reptile was my blue tongue skink named skinksy she was born in 1996 and she is still with me now and is coming up to 14 years old i have never breed from her but would loved to as she is so gentle natured and a fantastic lizard, she was actually one of tristans female blue tongue skinks that he bred, Tristan's first pet was white tree frogs followed by a numerous of exotics after which included more frogs, snakes and lizards.
We have 2 children who both love animals aswell both have their favourites of course and both have there own pets that they try to care for the best they can but of course we have to help them out of which we don't mind as its a learning curve for them both on responsibility, both children join in on the handling of the animals and like to watch when we are cleaning and feeding etc.
another of our hobbies is going out for family walks looking at the wildlife and hunting around for the british reptiles etc our favourite place for walks is new forest in hampshire where they cater for everything as they have heathlands, wetlands, and grasslands a outstanding amount of wildlife and even have pigs, cows and horses that are allowed to roam free.
Our breeding plans are steadily increasing over a period of time and we will not breed our animals unless they are in full health and the correct age and weight, it is such an experience to watch an animal give birth or watch eggs hatching it get so exciting toward the time.
From time to time i get asked to take in rescues and bring them back to health etc this is one thing i really enjoy and always wanted to do this as a job, its such a great feeling to know you have helped a sick or injured animal and brought them back to health, some of the rescues i have taken in are still with me now and doing extremely well, i would have to say the worst one i have ever taken in is a Hermann tortoise who was on deaths door she wasn't eating was underweight and had a very bad case of shell rot, well i took a trip to the vets to get her a vitamin b10 injection and get her on a course of antibiotics, after a few weeks she was starting to make a improvement and now nearly a year later she is doing absolutely outstanding she still has her shell coming away which will take years to recover but she is definitely a survivor with out a doubt and that's why i named her Lucky.
